Care facility resident allegedly assaults another | Auburn police blotter


Auburn Police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between June 15 and June 21.

June 15

Suspicious circumstance: 12:30 a.m., 1200 block of 67th Street Southeast. Twelve hours post-event, someone reported that he or she had perhaps observed a person being abducted off of a residential street.

June 16

Misdemeanor vandalism: 11:50 a.m., 55 block of A Street Southeast. Someone damaged someone else’s window.

Cops helping cops: 1:40 p.m., 2236 Auburn Way N. Auburn Police helped outside police agencies catch a dangerous fugitive.

Assault: 3:20 p.m., 3200 block of A Street Southeast. Some guy complained about being assaulted in the heat of an argument; however, video showed the complainer had been more at fault than he reported.

June 17

Theft of vehicle parts: 12:02 p.m., 500 block of 12th Street Southeast. Police busted a man for thieving a catalytic converter.

June 18

Commercial burglary: 12 p.m., 3600 block of Auburn Way North. Burglars practiced their dishonest avocation on a storage unit.

Shoplifting: 8:28 p.m., 4010 A St. SE. A man and a woman stole various undisclosed items from a local grocery store, then departed in a white Dodge truck, pulling a camper.

Assault: 11:19 p.m., 12700 block of Southeast 312th Street. A resident called 911 after he or she had been assaulted by a juvenile.

June 19

Commercial burglary: Overnight, 30402 132nd Street Southeast. Burglars hit a coffee stand on Lea Hill.

Shoplifting: 2:42 p.m., 101 Auburn Way S. Some guy stole meat from Safeway.

Bomb threat: 3:14 p.m., 29400 block of 144th Avenue Southeast. Some kind of explosive device turned up on a city street.

Felony shoplifting: 5:38 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. Staff at the Tommy Hilfiger outlet contacted on-site police to report two shoplifters.

Assault: 4 p.m., 11500 block of Southeast 320th Place. One resident of a long-term care facility allegedly assaulted another resident of the same long-term care facility.

Trespassing: 7:39 p.m., 15 Auburn Avenue. Police busted a female for a spasm of undisclosed disorderly conduct.

Felonious fraud: 7:20 p.m., 1300 block of Auburn Way North. Someone stole a glass water pipe.

Assault: 8:30 p.m., 300 block of 15th Street Southeast. Police busted a guy for domestic violence assault, vandalism and resisting arrest.

June 21

Illegal dumping: 11:03 p.m., 30800 block of 125th Avenue Southeast. Somebody reported a dirty act of illegal dumpery.

Assault with a firearm: 8:23 p.m., 500 block of North Division Street. A drive-by shooting went down.

Weapons offense: 10:47 p.m., 32115 105th Place Southeast. Police arrested a guy for reckless endangerment and illegally shooting off a gun.
